​The Home Builders Association of Northwest Michigan, Inc. is a professional association of industry leaders who support legislative educational, and economic initiatives to promote home ownership in our community. The Association was chartered in 1970 and represents eight counties in Northern Michigan including Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, and Wexford.

Over the last 54 years, the Home Builders Association of Northwest Michigan (HBANWMI) has believed in advocating, educating, and giving back to our community through activities and events – large and small. We are a membership association dedicated to helping our members grow and prosper while being a local resource for homeowners to find quality services and reliable contractors. Our belief is that we are working to connect builders, associates, and homeowners for a shared greater good for the community.

We believe that the HBA has the possibility and opportunity to facilitate learning for every member and that every member has the obligation to acquire new knowledge, skills, values, and habits to support the communities perception of our industry.

Credibility – We believe it is the obligation of each HBA member to actively participate in maintaining, and increasing, our community’s trust and worthiness in all home builders industries.
